    Drinks Coolers

A drinks fridge is made to store drinks and beverages like beers and sodas at perfectly chilled temperatures - even on hot summer days. With several shelves for easy access, drinks coolers reach temperatures lower than regular fridges. Used in bars, restaurants and home bars and kitchens - we recommend Mquvee and Liebherr drinks fridges in black or stainless steel in any under counter model of 30cm, 40cm and 60cm width.

The best drinks fridges are usually large, tall and have glass doors so you can easily see what drinks you have available. We also stock a range of widths from 600mm, 400mm down to 300mm - these models are all suitable for under counter use.

Why Buy A Drinks Cooler Fridge?

If you have limited space, then an under counter or built in drinks fridge is a great option. Alternatively, if you're looking for something more compact, a mini or slimline drinks fridge is ideal. The slim drinks fridges are usually 600mm wide and are great for small spaces. When looking for a drinks fridge, there are a number of factors you should consider. Look out for bottle fridges, adjustable shelves and temperature control. You should also think about the energy rating of the fridge and whether you want it to be freestanding or built-in.

    Drinks Cooler Temperature Zones

A drinks fridge is typically set to a temperature between 1°C and 4°C, but can range from as low as 0°C to as high as 6°C. This temperature range is designed to keep drinks cold and refreshing. At the low end of the range, a temperature of 0°C or 1°C will keep drinks chilled and but importantly it won't freeze them. This is the ideal range for storing beers, ciders, lagers, and other carbonated drinks like Coke. At the higher end of the range, a temperature of 4°C to 6°C is ideal for storing white wines and spirits.

This temperature range will provide a cool environment for the drinks without freezing them. In order to maintain the ideal temperature range, a drinks cooler should be kept clean and well ventilated (especially if its a freestanding model), and the door should be kept closed as much as possible (to keep the temperature stable). The temperature should also be monitored regularly to ensure it remains within the ideal range.

    Installing a Drinks Fridge

Installing a drinks cooler fridge in a home or commercial space is a relatively easy task. Depending on the type of drinks fridge you have purchased, the installation process may differ slightly.

Firstly, start by unboxing the drinks fridge. Refer to the instructions manual provided and make sure all the required parts are present. If your drinks fridge is a freestanding model, you can simply place it in the desired location. It is important to check if there is a power outlet nearby, as this may be necessary for the fridge to work. For built in or integrated drinks fridges you will need to ensure theres is an appropriate cavity for the fridge - this can be done by either cutting or remodelling an existing space in the cabinets or kitchen. Once the space is ready, you can insert the drinks cooler fridge in the space and secure it (with screws if needed). You can then connect power to the fridge by plugging it in and switching it on at the mains.

    Drinks Cooler FAQs

What Temperature Can I Set My Drinks Fridge to?

    +

    -

Our range of drinks fridges can be set to temperatures from 0-6°C, perfect for any drink on a warm summers day.

Does a Drinks Cooler Need Ventilation?

    +

    -

Here are the general ventilation requirements for different types of drinks fridges. Please remember to closely check the specification of the drink fridge you're interested in before purchasing to make sure there's enough ventilation for where you plan on placing the unit. A freestanding model needs 5-10cm space around the sides and back, 30-40cm space over the top. Also, avoid boxing it in or placing it under a counter. For built-in models, they only need 1-2cm space at the back for the power cable while the front air vents must not be covered.

Do I Just Need to Plug in a Drinks Fridge?

    +

    -

Yes, all you need to do with a drink fridge is plug it into a standard power socket and they're ready to go. Be patient, once you’ve plugged it into a power source don’t switch it on straight away. The 12 -24 hour period before switching the power on allows the gasses to settle and the wine fridge will operate just fine.

Can I Put a Drinks Fridge In a Cabinet or Cupboard?

    +

    -

Built in drinks fridges are suitable for installing into a cabinet or cupboard but freestanding wine coolers are not suitable for being installed into a cabinet. This is because freestanding models are designed to have ventilation around all sides whereas built in models ventilate in other ways.
